Everyday Spring Makeup Look: Soft Golden Eyes & Pink Lips

A few weeks back I was playing with my makeup, and I ended up with a taupe and golden eye look. I combined it with a stunning pink lip, making it feel like spring is finally upon us. Were it not the fact, that we still need to wait another week until it is officially spring!

I think that this look is perfect for school, work, lunch dates, what ever your day may bring.

Eyes

For the eyes I used the Burgundy Time Nine palette by MAC. It is such a great palette and even though there are only 9 eye shadows you can create lots of look with them! It always inspires me to do something different. For this look I only used three eye shadows!
sorry for the dirty palette haha

When doing my eye makeup I like to start off with an hydrating cream, then I use the L’Oréal Paris True Match foundation in the shade Rose Ivory to create an even skin tone on my eyelids. The foundation is a bit too light for me, so I also like to use it under the eye instead of a concealer. When the foundation is blended I like to set it with my Clinique powder compact in 106.

Then I used the upper middle shade in the eye shadow palette in the crease as a transition color. Afterwards I took the matte brown shade in the middle and uses it on the outer corner, halfway my lid and under the eye. I repeat this a couple of times until I’m happy with the blending. Then use the upper left eye shadow on the other half of your lid and on our inner corner. I also applied the highlighting shade in the Shaaanxo x BH cosmetics palette. (Read about a makeup look I created with it here) The eyes are done after applying mascara, I used the Million Lashes Mascara by L’Oréal.

The Rest of My Makeup

I primed my face with the Too Faced Hangover primer. Then I used the Fresher Skin foundation by Rimmel London (review) in the color Ivory 100, which I set with my Clinique powder compact. I used a little bit of the Sweet Tea, Sweetheart bronzer of Too Faced below my cheekbones and on my temples. I filled in my brows with the Anastasia Beverly Hills brow wiz in the shade Taupe. For the lips choose the Colourpop Lip Satin in November, created by KathleenLights. On top I applied the lip gloss in Lise by Evelyn Iona, which I’ve been absolutely loving!! The combination of the two lip products is stunning, but is a bit brighter in real life.

And that is how I achieved this makeup look! It is so simple and beautiful!
Love Life,

Maxime
